Abstract: | A new adaptation algorithm to equalize the symbol error rates over all subchannels is proposed to overcome the slow time varying noise environment existing in xDSL channels. The proposed algorithm combines the conventional bit swap algorithm with power gain adaptation. The overall transmission power before and after adjustment is kept the same. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has a faster convergence speed and a smaller dynamic range of the equalized noise variance than the bit swap algorithm. | ||
